Falling in love with…

I realized I fell in love with travel, naturally.

However, I didn’t only fall in love with travel, I fell in love with the person I become when I seek out adventure, when I feed my curiosity, when I allow myself to be open to awe.

This begins my journey.

This is an exploration of the wonderment created when I live, love, and dance in different parts of the world. I experience a sporadic, travel nomadic experience blessed by the locals who invite and host me, but also by the natural hunger to connect with different people, different places, different experiences. I want to examine the uniqueness of a place and the commonalities we don’t realize we share. I want to open myself to loving this environment, its people, its nature, and its dynamics that would create memories and forever influence the way I see the world.

I didn’t mean to search inwardly. I thought it was all external. I thought I hungered for these intriguing locations and cultures. I thought I wanted to find joy in all the richness of these places.

I ended up finding something even greater, something that helped fear subside, that ignited my love for diverse intelligence, that helped me find peace in the changing dynamic of an impermanent world…I found home within myself.

Everything in nature has a dance: a rhythm connecting the divine with the intrinsic, the intrinsic with the physical.

I have watched sea lions flurry around in circles at the edge of the ocean, dipping into the fluffy currents, giding in and around sea formed pebbles…bending their bodies into the song of the sea. I have witnessed trees sway to the rhythms of the wind. I have watched waves sensually swirl in a passionate rumba with minerals of sand. Dance is everywhere. Although many of my travel adventures started with salsa and bachata dancing, I came to recognize the dance constant within the universe. I witnessed the essence of dance: capturing moments through movement. Traveling helped me see that; it helped me recognize the movement of all things, the connectivity of all, the symphony of universal bliss, and the unified waltz of life.

Join me in this meditation of movement…
